Rental InformationThe MLK Festival Grounds is available for the public to rent through the City of Temple Parks & Recreation Department. Please read through all of the information here and the rental guidelines (linked below) carefully before submitting your completed application.

MLK Festival Grounds Rental Guidelines
Reservable Hours

• Monday through Thursday - the site may be reserved starting at 7am and must end no later than 11pm.
  • The grounds must be vacated, closed, and secured by 11pm. 
• Fridays and Saturdays - the site may be reserved starting at 7am and must end no later than 1am.
  • The grounds must be vacated, closed, and secured by 1am.
• Sundays - the site may be reserved starting at 7am for non-amplified music and sound. The site may be used from 8am and must end no later than 11pm.
  • The grounds must be vacated, closed, and secured by 11pm.

Rental RatesFESTIVAL GROUNDS ONLY

• $1,000 deposit per rental (must be paid at the time of securing the space)
• $1,000 per day of usage (must be paid no less than 14 days prior to the rental)

Events & Rentals serving 1,000 or more attendees may require additional liability insurance policy which names the City of Temple as Additionally Insured.

SUNGLO BUILDING
This building may not be rented independent of the Festival Grounds, nor is it required to be rented

• $250 deposit per rental (must be paid at the time of securing the space)
• $250 per day of usage (must be paid no less than 14 days prior to the rental)
