Lion Sam Farrow Amphitheater

Located on the former site of the old Lions Swimming Pool in Lions Park, the amphitheater became a reality as the Temple Parks Foundation raised community support and monetary donations to construct this one-of-a-kind venue which provides a unique space for concerts, recitals, plays, performances and even weddings!

Rental Rates

Civic and Non-Profit Organizations
Civic/Non-Profit Rate:
  • This rate is applied to non-profit corporations (50lc3):  charitable and civic organizations; arts groups; churches; schools; individuals; etc.
  • $I00 per day per event
  • $50 - Additional day for rehearsals or non-performances
Corporate (receptions, parties and other similar events)
Corporate Rate Events:
  • This rate is applied to commercial lessees for non-revenue producing events when no sales are made; orders are taken; tickets sold; or admission charged.
  • $150 per day per event
  • $50 - Additional day for rehearsals or non-performances
Individual, Group or Family Events (weddings, reunions, receptions, parties, etc)
Individual or Group:
  • This rate is applied to any individual, group, or family for non-revenue producing events when no sales are made: orders are taken; tickets sold;  or admission charged.
  • $25 per hour (2  hour minimum )
  • $50 - Additional day for rehearsals or non-performances.
Commercial Events
Commercial  Rate:
  • This rate is applied to any individual or group whose primary objective is the making of a profit.
  • The department will negotiate the rate depending on the type of proposed event, admission fee to be charged and the anticipated attendance.
  • $100 - Additional day for rehearsals or non-performances
For all events
Staff:
  • The department reserves the right to require staff to work at an event and for event preparation and clean-up. Those costs will be charged to the facility renter.
Security:
  • The department reserves the right to require security at an event. Those costs will be charged to the event renter.
Clean-up Deposit:
  • A returnable clean-up deposit of 50% of the event rental fee, or a maximum of $I 00, will be charged.
  • All or part of it will be returned upon the event's conclusion depending upon any damage or cleaning required by the City - final decision and amount to be charged to be determined by the Department Director.
  • The renter will be required to bag all trash, clean off all tables, sweep the floor of any trash and pick-up all litter.
  • Please allow two weeks for deposits/refunds to be processed.
