Picket Pals

DocumentThe Temple Parks Foundation has played an integral role in funding new parks in our city. Our first, and most heralded project came from the Leadership Temple class of 2001-2002  who embarked on the groundbreaking Whistle Stop Playground. On the final day of the build, the playground was surrounded by personalized pickets, sold to help pay for the equipment.  Many people still visit the park to see their picket, share an inscription, or remember their work shift as they helped erect a piece of the playground
When the Leadership Temple Class of 2008-2009 chose to erect the All Accessible Playground in Lions Park, they went into partnership with The Rotary Club of Temple South and the Parks Foundation for funding. Once again, the Parks Foundation stepped up to help sell inscribed pickets to border the park. Temple families, companies, and organizations have made a name for themselves in Temple's most popular parks.
For every $25 donated to "Picket Pals" a personal or business name will be engraved on a fence picket (limit 15 characters). The donation is tax deductible and will be honored with a lasting recognition for years to come.

The pickets will sell out soon! There is limited picket space left at both parks. Inscriptions can be up to 15 characters and cost just $25.
