Where is the entrance?
The entrance is at W. Central Avenue and S. 9th street.
Is there a registration or event fee?
This event is free to the public and no registration is required.
How fast can I drive through the route, and how long does it take?
Drivers may not exceed 5 miles per hour and must go along with the flow of traffic. Drivers must be alert of the driver in front of them, as there may be stops along the way! The route takes approximately 5 minutes from start to finish.
What can I expect to see along the route?
Spooky scenes with super cool, colored lights! Scenes are primarily fun and family-friendly.
What is "Family Night in a Bag"?
"Family Night in a Bag" will contain snacks, treats and games that the whole family can learn and enjoy once you get home! The people handling the distribution will be wearing masks and gloves for safety.
How long is the route?
The route is just over a quarter-mile. It will run from the Railroad and Heritage Museum and out from underneath the bridge of W. Avenue B and S. 3rd Street.
Can I walk up to the event?
No walk-up guests, bicycles or motorcycles may participate.
May I sit outside of my car/truck?
Guests must always remain inside their vehicles to maintain a safe event and MAY NOT ride in the truck bed. For guest safety, all tailgates, van/car doors and hatchbacks must always remain closed. Participants of a vehicle must be members of the same household and shall not change vehicles during the gathering. Make sure that your vehicle is in good working condition and fueled up for the ride. If you experience automobile issues in our park, we are not able to assist you and will have to contact a roadside vehicle service at your own expense.
The maximum size for a vehicle permitted in our "Creep Thru" is 224″ L x 81″ W x 74 H (roughly the size of a full-sized Suburban).
Can we drive with the convertible top down?
Yes, you may. For your safety, doors MUST always BE IN PLACE and closed. All persons must be seated in the vehicle if the top is down.
Do I need to turn my headlights off?
Yes, headlights should remain off during this event.
Can we pull a trailer through this event?
No. Trailers will not be allowed in the Drive-Thru.

City of Temple has taken enhanced health and safety measures for event attendees and the event Staff. While attending the event, you are expected to follow all posted instructions. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people gather. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and possibly death. According to the CDC, older adults (65 years of age and older) and persons with underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
By attending this Event, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
Masks or Face Coverings
Consistent with the actions taken by many individuals across the state, we ask guests to consider wearing cloth face coverings (over the nose and mouth) at the outdoor event when within 6 feet of another person who is not a member of the individual’s group.
- Medical masks, paper masks, fabric masks and bandanas are all acceptable face coverings.
