Santa at the Depot

Put on your jammies, grab your favorite stuffed animal and come enjoy a magical evening with Santa at the Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum. Visitors can marvel at the sights and sounds of the holiday season as they wander through the winter lights on the Santa Fe Plaza and enjoy Christmas music. Enjoy delicious hot chocolate available for purchase from Kona Ice while waiting to see the man in the big red suit! Before you see Santa be sure to check out the CentraMod Train layouts. CentraMod will be open from 5 pm-8 pm on Dec 4th.

ALL tickets are ADVANCE purchase only. Tickets are required for admission. Limited ticket quantity is available. Tickets are $5.00 per person, children 2 and under are free. The ticket includes a visit with Santa and a gift bag for children.

General museum admission will be closed on December 4th to prepare for Santa's visit.

Is there a fee to the event or registration?
Yes, this is a ticketed event. ALL tickets are ADVANCE purchase only. Limited quantity is available. Tickets are $5.00 per person, children 2 and under are free. The ticket includes a visit with Santa and a gift bag for children.

Tickets for three different time slots can be purchased HERE.
Timeslots available 5:00 pm , 6:00 pm & 7:00 pm. Admission is only good for the designated time slot.

How many times slots are available?

There are three different time slots available 5:00 pm, 6:00 pm, and 7:00 pm. 

Ticket quantities are limited to 250 per time slot. Admission is only good for the designated time slot.
All visitors must have a ticket except children 2 and under who are free.
Proof of purchase is required for entry. Please Check-in 15 minutes before the ticketed designated time slot.

Masks or Face Coverings
Consistent with the actions taken by many individuals across the state, we ask guests to wear face coverings (over the nose and mouth) at the outdoor event when within 6 feet of another person who is not a member of the individual’s group. Medical masks, paper masks, fabric masks, and bandanas are all acceptable face coverings. 

The City of Temple has taken enhanced health and safety measures for event attendees and the Event Staff.  While attending the event you are expected to follow all posted instructions.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people gather. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and possibly death. According to the CDC, older adults (65 years of age and older) and persons with underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19.

We care deeply about the safety of our attendees, participants, and staff members, therefore before and while attending this event please be mindful of the following:

  • Be Symptom Aware - if you or someone in your household feels ill, has a fever or cough, please do not attend this event.
  • Maintain Distance - as you enjoy this event please maintain 6ft from others.
  • Practice Good Hygiene - wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
