Housing the archival records of the Temple Railroad & Heritage Museum and the Santa Fe Railway Historical & Modeling Society

The Fred M. and Dale M. Springer Archives houses the archival records of the Temple Railroad & Heritage Museum and serves as the official repository for the Santa Fe Railway Historical & Modeling Society. The archives cover local and railroad history. Railroad-related holdings include photographs, engineering and mechanical records, maps, drawings, timetables, employee magazines, etc. The Springer Archives has one of the largest collections of railroad mechanical drawings and the most complete set of Santa Fe employee timetables. Visitors also have access to 5000 books in the research library.

The Temple Railroad & Heritage Museum explores the history of the railroad and topics relating to regional and local history. The SR&MS is devoted to the preserving, studying, and sharing of information about all aspects of the history of the Santa Fe and about modeling its operations, equipment, and structures.
